After a week of being out and about, I can finally get back to my business. And what would be a more appropriate way to celebrate returning home than by cooking something?
- 1 lb stir-fry beef
- 1/4 lb finely chopped mushrooms
- 2 medium onions, cut julienne style
- 2 medium onions, cut julienne style
- 2/3 lbs sour cream
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and grated
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and grated
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 gherkin, finely diced
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Melt the butter into a large skillet, then add the olive oil. When the mix is heated, add the beef
Brown the meat on all sides, then take it out on a plate
Add the onions to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes
Add the mushrooms and return the meat to the pan, then let everything cook for 2-3 minutes
Add the sour cream, finely diced gherkin and the grated garlic, stir very well to combine and turn off the heat, so that the sour cream does not curdle
and serve over pasta or rice

Try adding 1 TB spoon of cognac right before serving! Give's it a little kick!
